Mari McCabe, known as Vixen, is a superheroine within The CW's Arrowverse. First appearing in the animated web series Vixen (2015), she later transitioned to live-action on Arrow.
Vixen possesses the Tantu Totem, a mystical artifact granting her the ability to channel the powers of the animal kingdom. She can mimic the speed of a cheetah, the strength of a gorilla, or the flight of a bird, among countless other abilities.
In the Arrowverse, Mari initially operates independently in Detroit, using her powers to fight crime and protect the innocent. She eventually crosses paths with Green Arrow and his team, becoming an ally and joining their fight against various threats.
The live-action Vixen was portrayed by Megalyn Echikunwoke. Due to scheduling conflicts, Maisie Richardson-Sellers portrayed Mari McCabe's grandmother, Amaya Jiwe, as Vixen in the second season of Legends of Tomorrow.
